All members need to renew their HCPC registration by 31 July 2024; and what to do if you are selected for audit

The renewal window

The renewal window for your HCPC registration opened on 1 May 2024; it is open for three months, until 31 July 2024. It's important that you renew your registration promptly so you can continue to practise as a podiatrist for the next two-year cycle.

You can renew online at any time via your HCPC account. Please make sure all your contact details are correct for this and future renewal cycles.

You can find all the details about how to renew, as well as help and guidance, on the HCPC website at www.hcpc-uk.org/renew

The 2024 HCPC audit

Once the renewal period has opened, the HCPC randomly selects 2.5% of registrants for audit.  Please check your inbox, as well as your spam/junk folder, regularly during this period as all HCPC communications are sent electronically. If you are selected for audit, you will be notified within ten days of the opening of the renewal window; this will also be highlighted in your HCPC online account.

I've been selected, what now?

If you are selected for audit, you can find out more about the audit process and its objectives by logging in to the RCPod website and going to our HCPC audit page

From there, you will be guided to our online learning platform, TALUS where you can access a range of specially designed resources to help you through the audit process.

Resources on TALUS

Once you are on TALUS, select HCPC CPD Audits under Current Learning. Here you will find an HCPC webinar, as well as resources on:

  • What is CPD?
  • The five Standards of CPD
  • How to provide evidence of CPD
  • The audit process and your CPD profile
  • How to access and complete your HCPC online account.

These resources should help you to complete your 2024 audit efficiently and correctly.

Need to defer?

The HCPC recognises that, due to unavoidable circumstances such as illness, bereavement or maternity leave, you may need to defer your CPD audit. If you are called for audit and wish to apply for a deferral, you must submit your request to the HCPC via the HCPC’s CPD Online portal as soon as possible.
