This will be a fantastic whole day update on all things diabetes and podiatry. An essential update for all. Topics that will be covered on the day:

  • NICE guidelines - DF / neuropathy / T2DM
  • Neuropathy screening - what / how / where/ is there a gold standard?
  • Vascular assessment - NICE PAD guidelines. When and how to escalate
  • Infection - identification, classification and management. PEDIS.
  • Differentiating between infection and ischaemia. Escalation.
  • Using SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment & Recommendation) when referring onwards or asking GP for eg, antibiotics
  • Offloading for diabetes foot complications
  • Reducing risks of litigation
