The RCPod Learning Academy Immersive Day
Saturday 28 November 2026
This is an exclusive member-only event for qualified podiatrists. Places will be limited to ensure high-quality practical learning and CPD that you can take away and use immediately.
Members will be able to choose two three-hour workshops from the six specialist topics listed below.
Each session will run in both the morning and afternoon.
Immediate Life Support
Basic life support is a mandatory standard for all those providing local anaesthesia. This course will prepare you for a wide range of clinical emergencies including resuscitation, AED use and anaphylaxis.
Vascular Assessment
Vascular assessment is an essential skill for every podiatrist. This workshop will include vascular assessment from objective visual and palpable measures, Doppler use, waveform analysis, indices, blood pressure assessment and interpretation of results.
Gait Analysis
The gait analysis workshop will be a hands-on session. It’s designed to give you a deeper understanding of measurements systems used, including pressure plates and inertial measurement units for both dynamic gait, postural assessment for balance and stance positioning.
Casting
The casting workshop will explore different casting techniques and the purpose of offloading.
Ultrasound
This will be an introductory session demonstrating how those qualified in ultrasound can utilise it in injection techniques, the point of care and diagnostic uses as well as delving deeper into the anatomy.
Early Steps, Lifelong Impact: Neurodiversity and mental health in children’s care
In the first part of this session, we explore working with neurodiverse children when implementing therapies. The second half of the session will look at how traditional exercise routines don’t always work for neurodiverse children.
Book early to secure your place. Early Bird rates are available until 31 August 2026.
