Course fee: £500 | Starts 13 November | Blended learning | Live webinars | Certificate on completion

Aims of the course

Many podiatrists hold a POM-S annotation but do not routinely utilise it within practice. This enrichment CPD course is designed to refresh and strengthen the knowledge, confidence and governance skills required to safely sell and supply medicines under the exemptions framework.

This course is only for podiatrists who have POM-S annotation. It is not for people who wish to gain their POM-S. Delegates for this course must already be annotated.

Learning outcomes

  • Apply the Competency Framework for All Prescribers to POM-S practice.
  • Demonstrate a refreshed understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
  • Understand the medicines available to podiatrists under exemptions legislation.
  • Apply medicines management principles safely and effectively within practice.

Course delivery

Learn at your own pace through a blend of recorded content, directed learning, self-assessment and live online webinars. Each week combines recorded video lectures, directed reading and interactive tasks. Everything is online and self-paced and provides around half a day's content per week to study.

Built-in self-assessment lets you check progress as you go. Pass the final self-assessment quiz to unlock your completion certificate.

Content releases and webinar dates

Course content is released progressively throughout the programme with three live webinars.

New content lands every week. Live webinars turn the theory into discussion. Bring your questions and your toughest cases. Missed one of the sessions? Don’t worry, every webinar is recorded for repeat viewing.
