Foot Health 2024: Calendar of events
Plan and prepare for Foot Health Week 2024
In order to get the most out of Foot Health Week (FHW), for yourself, your practice, your patients and for the profession, we recommend you start planning your activities three to four weeks in advance. Here are a few ideas on what you can do:
From 25 March: Start your preparations
Suggested activities:
- Run an awareness event, such as an information session, at your practice or in your local area.
- Make some enquiries and see if a local group would like to have you as a guest speaker
- Share your top tips for foot health on your website
- Start planning and filming your social media content
- Download the print-ready posters and leaflets from the Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) online shop and have them printed in good time for the start of Foot Health Week. {link to online shop}
Week beginning 15 April: One week to go!
Prepare your social media content:
- Create a timetable of promotions
- Schedule your content in advance, making sure none of it goes out before Monday 22 April
- Set up embargoed content to post automatically during FHW
- Include the hashtag #UKFootHealthWeek24
- Tag the RCPod's social media accounts so that we can like and share your content.
22 - 28 April: Foot Health Week is here
Decorate your clinic and spread the word
- Put up the FHW posters and bunting in your clinic or department
- Add RCPod's specially designed email image to the bottom of your work emails for the duration of FHW. Download the image from our online shop {link}
- Finalise any last minute social media promotions and upload them to your accounts
- Think about making a video showing how you are celebrating FHW and spreading the word about how podiatrists change lives.
- And finally, if you are promoting how much you love being a podiatrist, don’t forget to direct people to our dedicated careers web pages at rcpod.org.uk/careers
