Invitation to submit oral and poster presentations
The Research, Development and Innovation Committee invites you to submit your oral and poster presentations for Podiatry 2026.
This is a great opportunity to showcase new research and innovations, stimulate debate and present the latest case studies.
Who can submit?
You do not need to be a podiatrist to take part.
Submissions are welcome from members, non-members, students, multidisciplinary teams, international applicants or lay representatives.
Submissions are welcome from international contributors.
- If you are submitting on behalf of a group, please ensure that you list the names of your co-authors.
- Submissions must not have been previously presented at national or international conferences or published in open access text.
Abstract submission and presentation formats
When submitting an abstract, you can choose from the following:
- poster presentation only – your research will be displayed in our poster exhibition, allowing for discussion and engagement with attendees
- oral presentation only – you will submit your abstract as a short paper for oral presentation
- either poster or oral presentation – submit your work to be considered for both categories
Important dates
- The deadline for the submission of abstracts is midnight on Monday 31 August.
- We will announce the finalists by email during the week commencing 14 September.
- Successful abstracts will feature at Podiatry 2026 at the ICC Birmingham from 26 – 27 November.
Submission categories
We welcome submissions showcasing advances in:
- clinical practice
- research
- quality improvement
- service evaluation
- education
- innovation/digital health
- case studies with learning merit
- public health
- novel completed work relevant to contemporary foot and ankle healthcare
Abstracts should demonstrate:
- originality
- relevance and clear implications for practice
- service delivery
- education
- research
- patient/public health outcomes
