The College of Podiatry (CoP) has been working in collaboration with Real Healthcare Solutions Ltd (RHS) to develop its exciting 2021 Leadership Programme with the aim of inspiring the future leaders in podiatry. The Leadership Programme has been fully funded through an education grant from Molnlycke Health Care and provides an educational platform to inspire the delegates’ operational and strategic abilities. In addition, the 2021 leadership cohort will develop their own leadership toolkit throughout the programme and be able to apply their newly acquired skills in practice.
During the programme, the CoP helps the delegates understand how their leadership behaviours affect the culture and climate in which they work. The programme, assisted by external leadership experts, supports the leadership cohort in realising that what they do and how they behave will affect the experiences of patients and service users of their organisation, the quality of care provided, and the reputation of the organisation itself.
Topic areas such as SPOTLIGHT profiling from Mindflick Ltd is offered to each delegate on the course. This is a powerful and intuitive profiling tool designed with performance in mind. It profiles both ‘behavioural style’ and ‘mindset’; leverages and maximises individual and team strengths; radically improves the impact of coaching conversations, and recognises and utilises that people behave differently in different contexts.
In June 2021 we are looking forward to welcoming the second Leadership cohort onto the programme. We will be using a blended method of delivery and look forward to seeing these rising stars develop on their leadership journey.
