Date and time: 10 September 2025, 09.30am - 4.00pm
Event: Record-keeping course, with Sharon Gray, Professional Support Office at the Royal College of Podiatry

The Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) has produced a record-keeping and consent course to assist members. Throughout the day we will extensively look at the RCPod's Record Keeping and Consent Clinical Standards. It is an interactive day which will cover what should and should not be included in patient notes, how to write good patient notes, the legal requirements surrounding patient notes, and how to audit your own patient notes.
The course will also discuss Consent for treatment. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will also be covered.

This course is vitally important to all podiatrists to make sure you are up to date with your knowledge regarding writing your patient notes. All this and more is covered on the course. If you do not comply with the RCPod Record Keeping or Consent Clinical Standard then you may leave yourself wide open to criticism by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) should an allegation be made against you, or the patient notes may not be defensible in court.
