North east region vascular conference

We would like to invite you to attend the first Regional Vascular Conference. This amazing day has been developed by the North East Regional Branch of the Royal College of Podiatry, comprising a small group of dedicated podiatrists from Newcastle, York, West Yorkshire and Teesside.

We have designed this day to bring you an update in Vascular learning, to know how and when to refer, to recognise important indicators and learn how to use state of the art equipment in the vascular field. The day is aimed at all levels and we hope you enjoy it.

Guest speakers:

• Mr Marco Baroni: Vascular Consultant, York and Scarbourgh Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr Baroni works in a number of busy vascular facilities, and treats the full range of arterial and venous diseases. He has an interest in surgical education and training and is a member of the Specialist Advisory Committee for Vascular Surgery. When not at work he enjoys ancient history, skiing and the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
  
  
• Mr James Stanley: Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Consultant, York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr James C Stanley is an expert Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon who specialises in treating foot and ankle conditions. He has helped to establish a Regional Foot and Ankle Unit with a team of surgeons, podiatrists and allied health professional across North Yorkshire. In his spare time he enjoys science fiction, travel, most things mechanical and sports.
  
  
• Nicky Wilson: Vascular Nurse Practitioner, York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Nicky works as part of The Vascular Unit which covers a huge geographical area including York, Scarborough, Bridlington, Selby, Harrogate and Wetherby hospitals. The unit comprises Consultant Vascular Surgeons, specialist radiologists, podiatrists, nurses and other allied health professionals.
