The 10th Podiatric Sports Medicine Conference will take place on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 December 2022 at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

The conference is in collaboration and association with the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM), the Royal College of Podiatry and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. The conference is hosted by Aesculap Academia.

Programme

The final programme for this conference is coming soon. The clinical and scientific programme will include:

  • Interventions in Podiatric Sports Medicine
  • Injections, laser therapy, manipulations, taping and biologic therapy
  • Introduction to ultrasound scanning
  • Phlebotomy and cannulation
  • Pitch-side care and medical emergency
  • Short paper and case history presentations
  • Keynote speakers
This year also marks the 10th Anniversary of Podiatric Sports Medicine with the foundation stone laid by Professor Nat Padhiar after the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In the same year, the first Sports Medicine conference for Podiatrists was organised in London by Maire Murphy (Chair) and Steven Childs (Secretary) of the London branch of the Royal College of Podiatry.

A celebratory dinner will take place at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow on Thursday 8 December, which all delegates are welcome to join.

The conference will be fun, educational, multidisciplinary, social and an opportunity to network.
