£15m insurance cover for UK members
Our UK members are automatically covered by our bespoke insurance policy that has been specifically designed for podiatrists with our insurance broker - Marsh Ltd.
This is just one of the most important membership benefits we offer and it ensures that our members are protected in their working life.
There are no long forms or complex questions to answer because we understand what podiatrists do and the cover they need to give them peace of mind whatever happens.
UK members get £15m pounds of cover as standard, which includes:
- Malpractice (also known as Professional indemnity)
- Public liability
- Legal defence costs
- Product liability
- Libel and slander
Our bespoke policy:
- Has been designed to cover our members in all aspects of the work usually undertaken by HCPC registered podiatrists
- Offers the flexibility to cover members for new, extended scope activities if they have undertaken the relevant training and are competent in these areas.
The cover includes members wherever they happen to work in the UK, including:
- The NHS
- Private practice
- The voluntary sector
It also covers:
- Registered students at accredited Schools of Podiatry in the UK (provided they are being taught or examined in the branch or branches of podiatry in which the member is duly qualified)
- Podiatry assistants (provided their duties are limited to such functions as recommended by the Royal College of Podiatry, with immediate access to the member).
