Janet Thomsen
We are deeply sorry to announce that Janet "JJ" Thomsen died on 14 June 2022
Originally from Wolverhampton, JJ graduated from Chelsea School of Chiropody in 1990 and worked there for many years through all the changes of name and NHS provision. After leaving the NHS she worked in the private sector where she regaled her patients with glorious stories of great travels and strongly held opinions.
She also spent time in the Shetlands, and working on cruise ships, which enabled her to travel the world. She was an adventurer at heart, having travelled solo around India as a young woman. She was very proud of her 500km walking the Camino in 2018 which she credited with helping her through some difficult times.
She had a great sense of style and flair in all matters design and creativity. Always a fashionista, she had a great interior design flair and collected all manner of fascinating objects.
Her great love was her animals. She adored cats and would borrow dogs for walks around Alexandra Palace.
She will be sorely missed by her colleagues, friends and family.
