He still lives in Sheffied despite the city having excellent transport links to all parts of the country.

Steve's work, past and present, in the field of psychiatry and education, includes: Clinical Director of Mental Health Services within the NHS at a district hospital; Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at Rampton; Senior Clinical Lecturer of Medicine and Undergraduate Dean at Sheffield University; and Visiting Professor at Derby University. He has spent 20 years as an examination panel member at the Royal College of Psychiatry and has been an expert advisor to the World Anti-Doping Agency.
He has been a consultant to over 20 Olympic and national sporting teams including Liverpool FC, British Cycling, GB Taekwondo, England Rugby and England Football. Outside of elite sport, Professor Peters works with CEOs, senior executives, teachers, students, hospital staff and patients. Steven Gerrard, Sir Chris Hoy, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Victoria Pendleton, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Lee Westwood, Jonathan Trott and Raheem Sterling are people that have all spoken publicly about how Professor Peters has helped them during their career.
Professor Peters is also a best-selling author, and his latest work, A Path through the Jungle, was published in 2021. Steve has also authored three other books, including the best-selling self-help book of all time in the UK, The Chimp Paradox, which has sold over a million copies - as per Nielson TCM Chart 2020. Other achievements include attending Downing Street for winning the senate award twice for his excellence in teaching.
For fun, Steve competes in track and field athletics and has held multiple World Masters Champion titles and world records over the 100, 200 and 400 metres,

My name is Mark Povey and I am a Clinical Lead Podiatrist in Kent, UK, specialising in high-risk feet.
In 2020, I started a Qi project to improve confidence among podiatrists working with end of life care (EOLC) patients, especially regarding making appropriate decisions about wound debridement. This led to me designing the “DECIDE” tool and creating a training package which has been delivered to podiatrists across Kent, the East of England and Dorset.
I am looking forward to running a workshop at this year’s Conference about this important and relevant topic.

Heidi Siddle
Professor Heidi Siddle is Professor of Musculoskeletal Health and Head of Clinical Biomechanics and Physical Medicine in the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Leeds.
Professor Siddle has just completed her NIHR Fellowship which has included the development of the ‘COuld it Be RA (COBRA) tool’ to identify people at risk of rheumatoid arthritis in primary care through targeted anti-CCP testing.
Professor Siddle is the Consultant Podiatrist in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and has established a Rheumatology Podiatry Service, which includes an Ultrasound Clinic. Professor Siddle completed her CASE accredited Post-Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in 2009 and is the first Chair of the Ultrasound in Podiatry Specialist Advisory Group at the Royal College of Podiatry.
She has instigated and led the development of Practice guidance for podiatrists when using ultrasound imaging as part of their scope of practice, which will be launched at the Podiatry 2024 Conference.

Sean Savage
Sean Savage is a specialist in podiatric sports medicine.
He qualified from QUB and has post-graduate qualifications from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh and has a post-graduate qualification in Podiatric Sports Medicine from Queen Mary University London. He has completed a Diagnostic MSK Ultrasonography Qualification from Bournemouth AECC University.
Sean has previous experience lecturing at the Northern Ireland School of podiatry at the University of Ulster and currently lectures nationally and internationally to the podiatric and orthopaedic professions. He has also lectured at the Brunel University on the Pg Cert, Diagnostic Ultrasound.
He is also the Sports Podiatrist to Northern Ireland Senior Soccer Team.
He is past Vice Chair for the Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) Northern Ireland branch and gave up his position as he was recently appointed Vice Dean for the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the RCPod.

Jai Saxelby is the Ultrasound Project Officer for the RCPod and a representative on the Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) Committee, and has recently been appointed vice-chair; he also sits on their MSK review group.
Jai works as a podiatric clinical lead for the foot and ankle pathway, Physioworks, Musculoskeletal Directorate within Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Jai has extensive clinical and research knowledge within musculoskeletal care having worked in this sphere for 34 years.

I spent over 13 years as a health service researcher where I focussed on how community pharmacists could help support patients with skin problems.
I am currently an independent pharmacy writer and a part-time lecturer at the University of Bradford where I developed the course and teach dermatology to undergradate pharmacy students.

Before moving into education in 2012, I was an Advanced Practitioner in Ultrasound undertaking general medical, obstetric, gynaecological and musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations, with a particular interest in MSK ultrasound since 2003.
I am now a Senior Lecturer and the Admissions Tutor on the MSc Medical Imaging (Ultrasound) Programme at the University of Cumbria. I lead the professional, legal and ethical issues in ultrasound and musculoskeletal ultrasound modules.
MSK ultrasound has remained my main area of interest and during my time in education, I have regularly provided lectures and hands-on training sessions on MSK study days and conferences both nationally and internationally, and I continue to be a member of the SoR MSK SIG.
My research interests include the future of ultrasound education in the UK, and I have published several articles and reports in this area. I have also recently co-written a report on the reporting practices of sonographers in the republic of Ireland commissioned by the Republic of Ireland Health Board. I have also co-edited and co-authored a book Musculoskeletal ultrasound how, why and when, which was published by Elsevier in 2021.

For five years Tommy Whitelaw was a full-time carer for his late mother, Joan, who had Vascular Dementia. In 2011 Tommy undertook a walk around Scotland’s towns and cities to collect hundreds of life stories and letters detailing the experiences of individuals who care for a loved one living with dementia. Tommy took this collection of stories to the Scottish Parliament to raise awareness of the value of carers, providing a platform for people to share their experiences and highlight what is needed to better support carers in Scotland.
Since then, he has engaged with thousands of carers through his Tommy on Tour blog and as National Lead for the ALLIANCE’s Person Centred Voices Project. In this role he delivers frequent talks to health and social care professionals, students and carer organisations across Scotland, promoting the values and principles of ‘What Matters to You?’, ‘Intelligent Kindness’ and ‘Civility Saves Lives’ – movements that identify active listening, kindness, and person centredness as key to providing inclusive support and care to all individuals, as well as healthy work environments.
This outreach programme has now reached over 280,000 people across 2,000 talks, gathering 30,000 What Matters to You pledges, capturing people’s commitments to putting this work into practice for the benefit of individuals and families.
In 2014, 2019 and again in 2023 Tommy produced Concerts for Caring. Each concert, held at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall saw over 1,800 individuals join together for an evening of music, celebration and respite.
In 2021, Tommy was invited by the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Humza Yousef, to sit on the Social Covenant Steering Group.

Antony Wilkinson

Antony Wilkinson
Mr Wilkinson graduated from the Northern College of Podiatry in 1990 and quickly became interested in foot and ankle surgery. After passing membership exams with the podiatry association in 1994, he secured a surgical training post in South Derbyshire.
After gaining his Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery in 1997, Antony continued his training as a speciality registrar in Podiatric Surgery before being appointed as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon in 2002. He is employed as Consultant and Clinical Head of Podiatric Surgery with Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as well as offering NHS and private treatments within the independent sector.
Antony was elected Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery in 2009, a post which he held for three years. During this time he was responsible for leading the strategic development of the profession on behalf of the College of Podiatry. He is current chair of clinical governance and medical advisory committee chair with Ramsay Park Hill Hospital, representing the hospital consultants from all specialties at national meetings. In 2019, Antony was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine within the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, for outstanding contribution to the profession.
In 2020 Antony was involved in setting up Coriel Orthopaedic Group along with seven orthopaedic surgeons. The group is developing rapidly and has admitted one other orthopaedic director and one podiatric associate. They have purchased their own clinic, developing a multidisciplinary team from multiple medical and surgical specialities. In 2023 Antony was elected chairman of the group.

Professor Cylie Williams
Professor Cylie Williams is a clinical researcher and educator at Monash University. She also holds a small private practice clinical role.
Cylie is a leader of Australian allied health model of care and workforce research. She has supervised researchers in the Podiatrists In Australia: investigating Graduate Employment (PAIGE) study. This is the largest longitudinal data collection in podiatry, focusing on workplace location choices, employment, job satisfaction, burnout and education preferences.
This and other workforce and children’s lower limb health research have resulted in Cylie’s 160 peer reviewed publications and $14 million of research funding
Lisa Wright

Dr Lisa Wright
Lisa is a senior lecturer in podiatry in Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and honorary podiatrist in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Scotland.
Lisa graduated from GCU in 2010 with a PgC in medical (musculoskeletal) ultrasound and in 2014 with a PhD titled: Foot involvement in rheumatoid arthritis: A prospective ultrasound study. Lisa contributes to research and teaching across both podiatry and ultrasound programmes, with a clinical/research role using ultrasound in a hybrid rheumatology and podiatry clinic at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH).
Lisa represents the Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) on the Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) committee and is Directorate of Education for the RCPod Specialist Ultrasound Advisory group.
