Response to the Health and Social Care Select Committee Inquiry: Prevention in health and social care

The Health and Social Care Committee launched a major new inquiry into prevention in January 2023.
For the first stage of the inquiry, the Committee called for proposals from researchers, organisations and individuals interested in or working in preventative healthcare to get involved and suggest what specific issues should be discussed.
These proposals will be used to help the Committee decide where to focus its attention in subsequent stages of its inquiry: further calls for evidence inviting more detailed submissions from interested stakeholders may then be issued on these topics.
The Royal College of Podiatry submitted its response to the first stage of the Health and Social Care Committee’s inquiry on on 8 February 2023.
