RCPod's response to the Scottish Government's national conversation to inform a new dementia strategy

In September 2022 the Scottish Government published a discussion paper to help people respond to its national conversation on the future of dementia policy in Scotland.
The discussion paper was designed to be as open as possible, to meaningfully capture the experiences of people living with, or caring for someone with dementia, in order to develop a new Strategy that covers all aspects of life for someone with dementia.
The consultation took the form of six questions:
- What does dementia mean to you and those around you?
- What supports work well for you?
- What challenges need to be addressed?
- How would addressing these challenges change lives?
- What do we need to build on/learn from what has been done before?
- What else would you like to tell us?
