The College of Podiatry produced a summary of the consultation document for members to encourage as many podiatrists as possible to respond
The College's response was developed in partnership with the College membership, through eight representative focus group interviews with over 50 participants.
The eight focus groups included:
- Clinical Senate (a committee whose purpose is to devise strategies on all matters relating to the pre and post-qualification education, clinical and professional practice of podiatrists and support grades).
- College committee members
- Branch representatives
- Workplace representatives
- NHS managers (England)
- Assistant practitioners
- Independent practitioners
- Devolved nations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)
Several consistent themes emerged from the focus groups, forming the basis of the College's response. This response was reviewed and signed off by Council.
