If you are contacted by NHS Track and Trace because a patient or colleague has tested positive for COVID-19 then you should inform them you are a regulated health care professional who wears medical grade personal protective equipment (PPE) and  therefore you do not need to self-isolate.

Unfortunately not all practice teams are aware of this. If you are told to self-isolate you can query this via your local health protection team using a template we have created. Download the Template for responding to Track and Trace if asked to self isolate.

Resources for Scotland

The Scottish Government has produced a toolkit at the end of April 2021 for businesses preparing for reopening. Whilst podiatry has been exempt from closure during the most recent restrictions, members may find the digital display resources of use within their practices. The resources include posters and social media images covering topics such as safe workspaces, social distancing and compliance with restrictions.

You can download the reopening assets here.
