Black History Month 2025: amplifying the voices of the Black community

During Black History Month, we aim to amplify the voices of the Black community to share their lived experience and to highlight the contributions to podiatry, healthcare and the wider community, both historically and today.

One of these voices is podiatrist Leah Asante, a senior lecturer in podiatry at the University of Huddersfield. An accomplished educator, researcher and presenter, Leah has kindly shared insight into her research on the morphological differences between the feet of those from African and European descent.
