Update for NHS workers in England following the Pay Review Body's report

The government has responded to the Pay Review Body’s report by announcing a headline pay rise of 3.6% for NHS workers on Agenda for Change contracts in England. This is slightly above the latest inflation rate of 3.5%, announced yesterday.

The government has also committed to fully funding a restructure mandate in 2026.

In line with our normal process, your Employment Support Committee will meet as soon as possible to discuss the offer. We hope to begin consulting with our NHS members in England shortly.

Following this announcement for England, we expect the Welsh government and the Northern Ireland Assembly to make their intentions known as soon as possible.

The offer, if accepted, will be backdated to 1 April.
