The RCPod welcomes Pay Review Body's 5.5% pay increase recommendation
The RCPod will review details and consult with NHS members before commenting further
The Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) welcomes the overdue publication of this year’s report from the Pay Review Body.
While the headline figure of 5.5% is welcome, the RCPod will be looking at the detail before commenting further and then consulting fully with its members in the NHS to get their views on any offer now made in any of the UK nations.
Commenting today, the RCPod's Head of Employment Relations, Education and Professional Support, Martin Furlong, said:
“After years of austerity, any pay rise above inflation is welcome, but this needs to be part of a long-term strategy to properly fund the NHS and make it more attractive to podiatrists and other professionals to continue to improve the health of the UK.”
