Views of members working for the NHS in England are being sought on the offer received for Agenda for Change staff

The Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) recently shared details of the government's response to the Pay Review Body's report for NHS Pay in England

The RCPod is now seeking the views of NHS members in England before responding to the offer. The offer covers all NHS staff on Agenda for Change (AfC) in England.

The main points are:

  • A consolidated 3.6% increase with effect from 1 April 2025 for all AfC staff
  • Further commitments to bring forward the pay process so changes are made on the due date of 1 April each year
  • Fund changes to the AfC pay structure - the government has committed to work with trade unions and employers to negotiate positive changes to the pay structure in 2026 to 2027 in partnership with the NHS Staff Council.

The offer is marginally above the current rate of inflation. The RCPod has been calling for the current Agenda for Change systems to be reformed for some time and for the 1 April date to be honoured each year.

The Employment Support Committee recommends that members accept the offer.
