The Podiatry Careers Champion Award recognises an individual who has made significant contributions to the advancement and support of podiatry as a career.

Member of the Royal College of Podiatry

Awarded for 
  • Advocates for careers in the podiatry profession at a local and/or national level
  • Engages in outreach activities that promote podiatry careers and raise awareness about the profession
  • Serves as a role model and inspiration for future podiatry professionals

Nominated by any member or self nominated.

How to make a nomination

Nomination statement (max 500 words)

The nominator should provide a clear statement addressing:

  • Advocacy activities: How the nominee promotes the profession (eg, policy influence, media engagement, national campaigns, school outreach)
  • Outreach efforts: Events, talks, mentoring, or collaboration with organisations or communities to raise awareness of podiatry as a career
  • Inspiration and influence: How the nominee has served as a role model, influenced others to pursue podiatry, or contributed to workforce development
  • Reach and impact: Local, regional, or national outcomes of their efforts
Supporting evidence (required attachments)
  1. One testimonial from a mentee, student, apprentice or outreach participant (max 500 words)
    • Describing the personal impact of the nominee's work
  2. Optional evidence (max 2 items):
    • eg, media coverage, letters of support, social media examples, video links
