Northern Ireland members accept 2024/25 pay offer with backdated pay to April 2024 confirmed

Pay uplift secured for Northern Ireland members following consultation
Following the 2024/25 pay award for members in Northern Ireland, the Department of Health has now secured the necessary funding to fully implement the recommendations of the Pay Review Body.
This means that the 5.5% pay uplift will now be backdated to 1 April 2024, rather than 1 June 2024.
While the Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) welcomes this development, we firmly believe this is no more than our members rightfully deserve.
The RCPod has recently been consulting with its members in Northern Ireland on whether to accept or reject the Department of Health’s initial offer.
The RCPod consultation closed on Friday 14 February and the results are as follows:
- Accept the pay offer – 78.43%
- Reject the pay offer – 21.57%
The RCPod will be informing the Department of Health of the outcome of its consultation.
