Royal College of Podiatry receives pay offer for members working for NHS in Scotland

RCPod will be seeking views of our members in Scotland
The Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) has received a two-year pay offer from the Scottish government for members working in Scotland of 4.25% for 2025/26 and 3.75% for 2026/27. The offer results in a cumulative uplift of 8.16% and includes an element of inflation-proofing.
The RCPod will now follow its standard internal processes on receiving a formal pay offer before responding. The process will include consulting with NHS members in Scotland about the deal.
Deputy General Secretary of the Royal College of Podiatry, Martin Furlong, said:
“We were a part of the negotiations with the Scottish Government for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 pay offer to deliver an above inflation pay uplift for our members in the NHS is Scotland. We note the offer of a pay uplift of 4.25% and 3.75% as well as a measure to try to ensure the uplift stays ahead of inflation for this two-year period. We will now follow our standard internal processes before responding. This includes consulting with our members in Scotland about the offer. We will keep our NHS members in Scotland informed.”
NHS pay in your area
The UK is split into four nations for NHS pay: England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Each nation operates under varying systems of offers and negotiations. Separate arrangements exist in the Isle of Man for employees of Manx Care.
When an offer or pay award is received, members working for the NHS in the affected country are notified by email and via their workplace representatives and members are consulted on the offer. Notifications are also placed on all RCPod news pages and social media accounts. Frequently checking our news page is the best way to find out the latest news and information from the College.
