The Minister for Health, Mr Robin Swann MLA, has announced that there will be a 3% consolidated pay uplift for all Agenda for Change staff for 2021/2022.
The payments will be backdated to 1 April 2021. It is expected that the monies, including back pay, will be paid to staff in the New Year.
An additional £15 million has been allocated to the Charitable Funds of Health and Social Care Trusts for 2020/2021 to support staff welfare. The Minister is also considering an additional non-consolidated award, subject to affordability.
