The Welsh government has made an improved pay offer for NHS workers in Wales. We are now consulting with our members there on whether to accept or reject the offer.

This final pay offer comprises an additional 3%. 1.5% is consolidated and 1.5% is non consolidated, so it will be in pay packets year-on-year. This is on top of the Pay Review Body recommendations, which have already been implemented in full. This offer will be backdated to April 2022.

You can find out more about this improved offer on the gov.wales website.

There are some significant differences from the previous offer. Whereas the last offer had a flat increase for all, the new deal has some additional amounts for grades 5, 6, 7 and above.

This is not a ballot for industrial action. Pending the outcome of our consultative survey, this may lead to a ballot for industrial action. The return on the consultative survey needs to be over 50% for the College to invoke a ballot for industrial action.
